Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Music lovers will be treated to a thrilling afternoon of energetic and refreshing performances when they attend the “Step into the Spotlight Volume 1” concert where various Elbasso Institute of music students are scheduled to showcase their talents this Sunday, organizers have said.

The concert, set for Alliance Francaise Harare, will feature a diverse range of performances, including solo and group acts as well as showcase various genres such as classical, jazz, pop, and traditional Zimbabwean music.

“Our students have been working tirelessly to perfect their craft, and we are excited to see them shine on stage. The students’ music concert is a culmination of hard work and dedication, showcasing the talents of emerging musicians from our esteemed institution,” Elbasso Institute founder Ronald Mhundwa told NewsDay.

“The event promises to be an unforgettable afternoon of melodies, rhythms, and harmonies, as our students take the stage to share their passion for music with the community.”

A first of its kind, the show is open all kinds of music audiences who, in addition to the students, will be entertained by an array of emerging talents including Taffie Matiure ,Prince Avalon , MelB, Tammie Wegitare and Paivepo while Nduna & Ubuntu classical band will be the headliners.

“I founded Elbasso Institute of music out of passion to give people a platform to learn as well as get a spotlight on the music scene,” said Mhundwa, who has worked with many successful local artists since the beginning of his career in 2012.

“This concert we are hosting is largely focused on empowering aspiring musicians who we are teaching that one can learn music under a well established institution but may not be able to call themselves a real musician if they are not able to perform for a real audience.”

Established in 2022, Elbasso Institute offers comprehensive music education, performance opportunities and industry connections to help aspiring musicians achieve their goals.
