Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. President Emmerson Mnangagwa has conferred national hero status on the late Brigadier General (Retired) Mathias Tizirai Ngarava.
The announcement was made this morning at his Chinhoyi home by the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Jenfan Muswere.
Muswere was accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Ziyambi Ziyambi, and the Minister of State for Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Marian Chombo.
Brig Gen Ngarava, who was 66, died on December 25, 2025. Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
