Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. South African musician Makhadzi, born Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, was involved in a car accident on Wednesday morning while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg.
Her management company, Makhadzi Entertainment, confirmed the incident in a statement. It said:
“Makhadzi Entertainment confirms that award-winning artist Makhadzi was involved in a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on the morning of 31 December.
“She is currently receiving medical care and remains in the hospital, where her condition is stable and under close observation by medical professionals.
“The priority at this time is her recovery and well-being.”
Makhadzi, famed for high-energy hits like Kokota and Matorokisi, is one of South Africa’s most successful contemporary artists, with multiple South African Music Awards and a strong nationwide fan base built through her vibrant music and live shows.
She frequently performs in Zimbabwe at major events like the Kadoma Music Festival and Victoria Falls concerts, sharing stages with other Zimbabwean icons like Winky D and Killer T.
