Olinda Chapel Charged With Cyberbullying Ex-wife Of Lover

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. UK-based Zimbabwean businesswoman Olinda Chapel appeared in a Harare court on Wednesday, facing cyberbullying charges. She is accused of targeting her lover Desmond Stunner Chideme’s ex-wife, Dyonne Tafirenyika, in a Facebook Live video.

Prosecuting, Lawrence Gangarahwe alleged that on 17 December 2025, Chapel posted a video in which she shouted at Tafirenyika, calling her a prostitute, and allegedly threatened to “deal with her.”

The video was publicly accessible, and she is said to have intended to intimidate, harass, bully, or cause emotional distress, as well as to humiliate or demean Tafirenyika.

Chapel did not plead when she appeared before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo, who released her on US$100 bail.

She was ordered not to interfere with witnesses, to surrender her passport, and to report to Borrowdale Police Station once every fortnight. She is due back in court on 16 January 2026.
