The reconstruction and widening of the 66.5km Harare–Seke–Zvipadze Road will begin next month, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has said.
The works will start from the Harare Main Post Office and extend to the Ten Miles area in rural Marondera. In the meantime, pothole repairs are already underway along the route.
The Ministry has advised motorists to expect minor delays while the work is in progress. It said:
“Pothole patching is currently in progress along Seke Road, from the Unit H turn-off to Makoni Shopping Centre in Chitungwiza.
“This essential maintenance aims to smoothen your journey and improve road safety for everyone.
“Please expect minor delays in the area while our crews are working.
“We also take the opportunity to inform that reconstruction of the Seke Road will commence in February 2026.”
