Wicknell Chivayo has gifted former Dynamos and Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 4×2, along with US$20,000 in cash.
Chidzambwa, popularly known as Mhofu, was the first coach to lead the Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors, to their inaugural Africa Cup of Nations finals appearance in 2004 in Tunisia.
He is also the first Zimbabwean coach to win the COSAFA trophy.
In recent weeks, Chidzambwa has been actively promoting a ZANU-PF-affiliated group called Former Footballers and Coaches for ED.
Posting on social media on Wednesday, Chivayo described Chidzambwa, his homeboy from Chivhu, as a household name and a veteran of Zimbabwean football.
Chivayo added that by joining Former Footballers and Coaches for ED, Chidzambwa has demonstrated, beyond doubt, his patriotism and nationalism, even off the field. Added Chivayo:
