The 2026 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season kicks off this weekend, with top-flight newcomers Hunters FC hosting MWOS at Rufaro Stadium on Friday.
On Saturday, Herentals College face Chicken Inn at Rufaro Stadium, while Ngezi Platinum Stars take on FC Platinum at Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro. Triangle United host ZPC Kariba at Gibbo Stadium, and TelOne meet Dynamos at Ascot Stadium in Gweru, with the Harare giants still reeling from a 5-0 defeat to Scottland in the 2026 Castle Lager Challenge Cup.
Sunday sees CAPS United host Agama at Rufaro Stadium, Manica Diamonds take on Simba Bhora at Gibbo Stadium, and Highlanders face Bulawayo Chiefs in a Bulawayo derby at Barbourfields Stadium.
PSL debutants Hardrock will also play defending champions Scottland on Sunday at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe.
However, Hardrock’s match has been overshadowed by a ticketing row. The club announced on social media that the cheapest entry would be US$10.
The PSL has since declared that the proposed prices have not yet received official approval. Revised gate charges are expected to be ratified at the PSL Annual General Meeting on Saturday, and until then, clubs must stick to the 2025 pricing structure.
