ZRP Names Six Victims Of Deadly Truck, Honda Fit Collision Near Redcliff

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has named six people killed in a road accident on the Harare-Bulawayo Road on 25 May 2026.

The crash happened at around 4.45 pm at the 223-kilometre peg near the Redcliff turn-off, when a Honda Fit collided with a haulage truck.

ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the victims had been identified by their next of kin. They are:

Augustine Mbano (32), a male adult of Mutyoraura Village, Gokwe South,

Nyaruvende Anesu (25), a female adult of Lot 7/9, Chicago, Kwekwe,

Junior Passmore Ndlovu (24), a male adult of Tumbira Village, Gokwe,

Pullen Moyo (27), a male adult of Mapfumo 2 Village, Gokwe,

Sheron Kundai Gundani (25), a female adult of Tauton Fitchlea, Kwekwe,

Piason Moyo (36), a male adult of Mapfumo 2 Village, Gokwe.

“Meanwhile, the names of the 10 victims who perished in a road traffic accident which occurred on 27th May 2026 at 0500 hours at the 110 km peg along Gokwe -Kwekwe Road will be released in due course after the victims have been identified by their next of kin,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that drivers should observe all road rules and regulations to safeguard human lives.”
