OPPOSITION MDC Vice President Tendai Biti is accusing the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) and DHL Africa of conniving with State security agents to confiscate Blessing-Miles Tendi’s recently launched book; “The Army and Politics in Zimbabwe: Mujuru the Liberation Fighter and Kingmaker.”

Tendi, a United Kingdom based historian launched the book last month in the UK with some damning information implicating senior government officials for their involvement in the death of Solomon Mujuru.

Mujuru was first general of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces in independent Zimbabwe.

Mujuru died in an inferno at his farm house in Beatrice in 2011 in suspected murder.

Writing on Twitter Monday, Biti said the the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) officers were refusing to hand over copies of the book which Tendi couriered through DHL Africa to Zimbabwe for Biti and others a couple of weeks ago.

Biti described the seizure of the book as fascism.

“Some weeks ago historian Miles Tendi couriered via @DHLAfrica to me &others his brilliant new book “The Army & Politics inZim:Mujuru the Liberation Fighter &Kingmaker. Turns out that @DHLAfrica & ZIMRA have handed books to the CIO who are refusing to hand same over.#ThisisFascism.”
