Africa Press-Nigeria:
Bulawayo City Council has started to construct water kiosks in the city’s high-density suburbs to augment water shortages ravaging the country’s second-largest city, Sunday News reports. This comes after the city reportedly received equipment for 10 out of the 25 identified kiosks.
The development was confirmed by the city’s public relations officer, Mrs Nesisa Mpofu who said;
The City of Bulawayo has received donated materials for the water kiosks from Danish Church Aid (six) and Vitens Evides International (four). Currently all 10 sites have been pegged and fabrication of tank stands is now six out of 10 kiosks. One of the kiosks has already been installed. The city is working hard to finalise these as soon as possible and our teams are working even during weekends
