Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa has ordered the arrest of members of the security forces who were caught on camera beating up a young man they had arrested.
The President said he was “appalled “by what he had seen in the report by Sky News.
Prior, a government-appointed human rights group had accused soldiers of using systematic torture against protesters.
But, a government spokesman had last week defended the crackdown saying: “When things get out of hand a bit of firmness is needed.”
