Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Paul Pogba has turned down a contract extension offer from Manchester United, with his existing deal expiring in June.
Reports suggest that a provisional contract agreement is close between Pogba and PSG, who are actively seeking to acquire the player this summer.
The French international central midfielder is reportedly keen to join the Ligue 1 club this summer.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Red Devils will make an improved extension offer to Pogba in the coming days, or if this now opens the door to transfer negotiations between PSG and the Premier League club.
Pogba who was one of France’s best players at the just-ended Euros has been under scrutiny for failing to replicate at Manchester United the performances he displays when he plays for France.
He has been a scapegoat for the club’s poor performance with some questioning his defensive abilities.
Pogba on the other hand has been attributing his performance to formations at Manchester United and France.
This is happening when the Red Devils have just signed Jodan Sancho from Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
