Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. RELEGATION duels continue to take centre stage in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League as Chicken Inn and Caps United clash at Luveve Stadium this afternoon.
The 2015 champions and the Green Machine are mathematically still not safe from demotion to the lower league as 10 teams are involved in the relegation fight with three matches to the end of the season.
Caps United are on position nine with 38 points, just four away from the Manica Diamonds, who are on the relegation threshold on the 15th spot with 34 points.
Their opponents this afternoon, Chicken Inn, perch on position 11 with 36 points, at par with another giant Highlanders who are on the 10th spot and have a tough one today with Simba Bhora away from home at Wadzanayi Stadium.
Bikita Minerals are hanging in there, also with 36 points on the 12th spot and are away to another troubled giant Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium tomorrow.
Dynamos are on position 16 with 34 points and need nothing short of a win to extricate themselves from the danger zone, where they are placed with Manica Diamonds, Yadah (31 points) and Kwekwe United (10 points), with latter statistically out of the picture.
Yadah take on Herentals at Rufaro this afternoon, while Kwekwe United host Scottland FC, who need an outright win to land the championship in their maiden season in the Premier Soccer League.
Triangle (34 points), on the 13th spot, are also not safe in the league and head to Ngoni Stadium in Norton today to face MWOS.
They beat MWOS last weekend to eliminate The Punters from the Chibuku Super Cup.
Also fighting to stay in the top league are Green Fuel, on position 14 with 34 points, who travel to Gweru where they clash with TelOne.
