Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Zimbabwe Football Association presidential aspirant Walter Magaya\u2019s national diploma from the University of South Africa (UNISA) has sparked heated controversy online.<\/p>\n

As reported by The South African, the diploma came under scrutiny after Magaya submitted it to the High Court of Zimbabwe to challenge his disqualification from running for ZIFA president.<\/p>\n

He was barred from the race for not possessing the required five O\u2019 Level passes but argued that ZIFA\u2019s rules allowed for \u201cany equivalent educational level.\u201d<\/p>\n

As evidence, he presented a National Diploma in Marketing, reportedly issued by UNISA in October 2015.<\/p>\n

Social media users quickly questioned the authenticity of the document, pointing out inconsistencies in its format, student numbers, and qualification codes.
\nOutspoken commentator Kudzai Mutisi led the criticism on X (formerly Twitter), providing a detailed analysis of the document\u2019s alleged flaws. Wrote Mutisi:<\/p>\n

This is not a National Diploma from Unisa… Folks shouldn\u2019t do these embarrassing things.<\/p>\n

The numbers on the certificate HAVE MEANINGS!<\/p>\n

The number above the barcode alone exposes the FAKERY:<\/p>\n

Let me explain TWO key things on that number:<\/p>\n

1. The NDSMN on that number is the Qualification Code.<\/p>\n

Unisa and all South African Universities phased out National Diplomas. But the NDSMN at Unisa WAS the qualification code for the National Diploma in Safety Management.<\/p>\n

IT CAN\u2019T BE the Qualification Code for this supposed qualification.<\/p>\n

2. The number after the code: 5563732 is the Student Number.<\/p>\n

That number can be EASILY VERIFIED. That\u2019s not a Valid Student number at this point in time and it doesn\u2019t belong to the alleged person.<\/p>\n

Courts shouldn\u2019t waste time deliberating on clearly questionable qualifications.<\/p>\n

3. The Vice Chancellor and Registrar\u2019s Signatures in 2015 didn\u2019t really look like that.<\/p>\n

In short, that\u2019s not it… Simple as that.<\/p>\n

Another social media user, Matigary, challenged Magaya\u2019s lawyer, Advocate Thabani Mpofu, to confirm whether the diploma was legitimate. He said:<\/p>\n

@adv_fulcrum is your client Walter Magaya putting a legitimate UNISA diploma before the courts? Did you verify that the diploma you filed before the courts is legit? Could you and Magaya be perjuring yourselves?<\/p>\n

The controversy has captivated Zimbabweans on social media, with many alleging forgery and contempt of court.<\/p>\n

Calls for an official statement from UNISA have grown louder as questions about the diploma\u2019s authenticity persist.<\/p>\n
