{"id":106320,"date":"2025-03-25T09:47:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-25T07:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/national-prosecuting-authority-declines-to-prosecute-dj-ollah-7"},"modified":"2025-04-04T14:11:22","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T12:11:22","slug":"national-prosecuting-authority-declines-to-prosecute-dj-ollah-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/national-prosecuting-authority-declines-to-prosecute-dj-ollah-7","title":{"rendered":"National Prosecuting Authority Declines To Prosecute DJ Ollah 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Monday, 24 March, opted not to pursue charges against Owen Madondo, better known as DJ Ollah 7, following his recent arrest in connection with alleged cyberbullying.<\/p>\n<p>The allegations were raised by Mudiwa Hood, who claimed that remarks made by guest Mukudzei Chatsama, also known as Holy Ten, during a podcast caused him distress and humiliation.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, the NPA concluded that Madondo, in his capacity as the podcast host, did not exhibit the intent to harass or bully.<\/p>\n<p>The comments in question were made by his guest during a live broadcast, which led the NPA to determine that Madondo was not responsible for the alleged harm. Said the NPA:<\/p>\n<p>While the complainant expressed a wish not to pursue the matter further, the Prosecutor General has the final authority in deciding whether charges are withdrawn, in accordance with NPAZ Prosecutorial Guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Victims of crime or complainants do not have the power to end criminal court processes this decision rests with the Prosecutor General.<br \/>\nDuring a podcast interview with DJ Ollah 7, Holy Ten made explosive allegations against Hood, born Ian Mutandwa, and Uebert Angel, Zimbabwe\u2019s Ambassador-at-Large to Europe and the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that Hood took a gun and condoms to church and that Angel repeatedly asked him to find young women for his personal pleasure.<\/p>\n<p>Holy Ten also recalled an incident during a visit to Angel\u2019s church, where he alleges that Hood showed him a gun and then revealed a stash of condoms from his bag. He said:<\/p>\n<p>I swear I will never go back to that church again. You can even ask my crew. Those people are not who they claim to be.<\/p>\n<p>I was first inspired to pray by Uebert Angel. I used to watch his sermons.
