This approach has brought attention to the growing film industry, which is ready to contribute effectively to GDP,\u201d Ganyani said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was thrilled to welcome the Africa Studio team led by producer Marc T Mandisoul, which came to Gweru for the premiere of their thought-provoking film, Dunamis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe faith-based film explores issues of religion, corruption and tackles crime within the church. The premiere, which was held at the Gweru Theatre Hall on March 29, drew a diverse audience from across the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo make the event more accessible, producer Marc Mandisoul gave away tickets worth US$5 to a few lucky individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ganyani said the event attracted local artists, including Blessing \u201cBuzzing Bee\u201d Makamu, a poet and aspiring actress from the Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>Tinotenda Kamuteku, an Afro-pop artiste and storyteller from Kwekwe, who also attended, praised the event for providing opportunities for up-and-coming artistes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a creative who was born and raised in the city of Gweru, I would like to express my desire to establish a state-of-the-art hub for artistic expression that I will call the Midlands Arts Centre, which will show my passion for the film industry,\u201d Ganyani said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy providing resources, training and performance spaces, it will foster a thriving art ecosystem that benefits artists and audiences alike. Join me in bringing this vision to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Filmmaker Tsangudzai Mateta urged fellow filmmakers around Zimbabwe and the world over to unite and support each other.<\/p>\n<p>Mateta said collaborations could help in knowledge sharing as well in empowering women in the film sector.<\/p>\n<p>Mandisoul, who could not hide his excitement at being in and affection of the City of Gweru, said: \u201cAs a filmmaker and music producer, I believe that music plays a crucial role in enhancing cinematic experience.
