Food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a small decline of 0.1 per cent, while non-food items rose by 0.3 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The average month-on-month ZiG inflation for January to February 2026 was 0.1 per cent, a sharp slowdown compared with the 1.2 per cent average recorded between January and December 2025, highlighting a broader disinflation trend.<\/p>\n<p>ZimStat also reported on US dollar inflation. Month-on-month USD inflation was 0.1 per cent, down from 0.2 per cent in January. Food prices remained stable, while non-food inflation held at 0.2 per cent. The USD year-on-year CPI stood at 0.9 per cent, slightly lower than January\u2019s 1.0 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Blending both ZiG and USD price movements, the weighted month-on-month inflation rate was 0.1 per cent in February, down from 0.2 per cent in January.
