Evans Rusike, Kudakwashe Mahachi, Onismor Bhasera and the rest of the team are set for rich pickings after SuperSport United C.E.O Stan Matthews has revealed that the players will get 80% of the MTN8 prize money.<\/p>\n

The Pretoria-based side won the trophy and pocketed R8 million on Saturday after beating Highlands Park 1-0 in the final. In-form striker Bradley Grobler\u2019s solitary strike on the stroke of half time.<\/p>\n

Rusike featured in the game while Kudakwashe Mahachi was an unused substitute. Bhasera sat out in the stands as he was serving a red card.<\/p>\n

According to Matthews, the players will take 60% of the prize money, and with bonuses plus the technical team, the share will add up to 80%.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a policy within the club where the players must share the money if they win a trophy,\u201d Matthews told the Daily Sun.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe players share 60% of the prize money, and that\u2019s one of the reasons why the club is always playing in cup finals.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to that we have contractual bonuses for the players and the technical team and that we will add up to 80% for the players to take home. For us it\u2019s not about the money it\u2019s about the trophy, and the prestige the money goes to the players,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
