Election Resource Center has approached the High Court in a bid to see Chief Charumbira punished for defying a court order that ordered him to issue an apology in 2017 after\u00a0he was qouted urging all chiefs to rally behind ZANU PF in the elections that were going to take place the following year,\u00a0<\/a>The Herald reports.<\/p>\n

Chief Charumbira refused to apologise and ERC has approached the court again. According to the publication, ERC\u2019s founding affidavit reads in part:<\/p>\n

Because of the attitude of the respondent (Chief Charumbira), who has disdainfully failed and or refused to comply with the court order and attracting unnecessary court proceedings, he should be (ordered to pay) costs (of suit) on a legal practitioner and client scale<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
