In an unfortunate incident reported by a Sunday Mail reporter, the Chikwanha family which includes Bulawayo Businessman Martin Chikwanha and Judicial Service Commission Secretary (JSC) Mr Walter Chikwanha lost both their parents to suspected COVID-19 last month The Sunday Mail reports.<\/p>\n

Mr and Mrs Chikwanha reportedly died 3 days apart and it is believed they contracted the disease at a family event in Mutare. According to the publication, Mrs Chikwanha died just after the burial of her husband.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bulawayo City is investigating a gathering that resulted in a dozen people testing positive for COVID-19 after attending a lavish party in the city. Gatherings of more than 50 people are still prohibited by the government but local transmission cases have surged with Zimbabwe recording 485 local transmission cases yesterday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
