PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has adamantly declared his administration will not be distracted from pursuing its objectives by \u201crogue Zimbabweans acting in league with foreign detractors\u201d.<\/p>\n
In a special address to the nation from State House Tuesday morning in the wake of fierce local and foreign criticism which followed government\u2019s brutal crackdown on organisers of foiled anti-government protests, Mnangagwa declared \u201cenough is enough\u201d, insisting his administration has not been given a chance since inception to pursue its programmes uninterrupted.<\/p>\n
Mnangagwa declared \u201cthose who promote hate and disharmony will never win\u201d, \u201cthe bad apples that have attempted to divide our people\u2026will never win\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe make no apologies for fixing our systems across, political, social and economic spectrum\u2026\u201d said the Zimbabwean leader.<\/p>\n
Mnangagwa said attacks against his administration were being launched at a time government was \u201centrenching democracy and rule of law\u201d.<\/p>\n
He cited the recent repealing of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Public Order and Security Act which have both been pillars of the Zanu PF led administration\u2019s repressive rule.<\/p>\n
Mnangagwa was adamant Zimbabwe\u2019s security forces, \u201cwill carry out with strictness and resolve\u201d against what he described as terrorist opposition groupings.<\/p>\n
He added that government will not relent in attempts to tame the current economic turbulence.<\/p>\n
Mnangagwa said \u201cdark forces both inside and outside our borders have tampered with our growth for too long\u201d adding, \u201cEnough is enough\u2026will defend it from all form of attack.\u201d \u2013 Newzim<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
