Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Six armed robbers driving a Honda Fit without number plates pounced on a Bureau de change in Bulawayo Wednesday morning, took an undisclosed amount of money, hijacked a car, and sped off.<\/p>\n

Chronicle reports that the de bureau de change that was robbed is situated at Parkade Centre at the corner of Fife street and 9th Avenue.<\/p>\n

It is reported that the robbers arrived around 8 AM, disarmed the security guard, ordered everyone who was in the bureau de change to lie down and also disarmed a Safeguard team that reacted to the robbery.<\/p>\n

They hijacked Safeguard\u2019s honda fit vehicle which was later found abandoned in Malindela suburb.<\/p>\n

Police told Chronicle that the robbers dumbed the safeguard car in Malindela suburbs in Bulawayo and went away with their silver one without number plates.<\/p>\n

The latest robbery follows last week\u2019s robberies when armed robbers raided two service stations in Bulawayo, tied attendants\u2019 hands before getting away with cash in dramatic incidents that occurred within two days.<\/p>\n

It also comes after the Zimbabwe Republic Police has expressed concern over the increase in the number of armed robbery cases nationwide.<\/p>\n
