Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>South African singer and songwriter Nomcebo Nothule Nkwanyana, also known as Nomcebo Zikode, has claimed that she is yet to receive any money from her collaboration with Master KG on the hit song Jerusalema.<\/p>\n

Jerusalema<\/b><\/p>\n

propelled the duo to global fame after the track topped music charts all across Europe, and spawned the most viral dance craze of 2020.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post on Sunday morning, Nomcebo claimed that she had \u201cnot been paid a cent\u201d for Jerusalema and that her lawyers are now handling the issue of her financial compensation for her contribution to the hit. She wrote:<\/p>\n

Thank you to all the fans of #jerusalema you have made my dreams a reality, with attaining a global hit song. My voice and lyrics have transcended globally, but I still await what is due to me.<\/p>\n

I have not been paid a cent by the label for #jerusalema despite the song\u2019s global success. I have been ridiculed, with efforts to marginalize my contribution.<\/p>\n

The continued love and support from the fans of #jerusalema has been my strength and anchor during this difficult time.<\/p>\n

I, as a female artist, can\u2019t stay silent on this anymore, the matter is now with my lawyers.<\/p>\n

But in response to Nomcebo\u2019s statement, Master KG said his former collaborator is \u201clying\u201d about the payment issue.<\/p>\n

Master KG mocked Nomcebo for allegedly demanding 70% of the royalties when they agreed to share 50-50. He posted on Twitter:<\/p>\n

The agreement of Jerusalema is 50\/50 between me and Nomcebo, but she wants 70% and I must get 30%. I believe when the time is right, everyone will know the truth \u2013 there\u2019s nothing to hide here, I\u2019m tired of being hated for lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Nomcebo started a Jerusalema Tour without me and I never had a problem and a few weeks back, I started my own tour and then Nomcebo went to the media and created a story that I\u2019m leaving her behind\u2026I don\u2019t really know why things must be like this!<\/p>\n

According to Master KG, Nomcebo has been paid R1.5 million rand for her contribution to Jerusalema. He said:<\/p>\n
