Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Traffic Safety Council Of Zimbabwe has issued a statement with regards to the accident that happened around 1700hrs on 24 December 2021 in Mutare. Police sources say four people died in the accident. Reads in part the TSCZ statement:<\/p>\n

A Beta bus allegedly encroached into the lane of an oncoming fuel tanker at the 242km peg on the Harare \u2013 Mutare Road at or around 1700hrs on 24 December 2021.<\/p>\n

The driver of the fuel tanker died in the inferno. Two bodies have so far been recovered from the bus wreckage.<\/p>\n

Fifty- four (54) people have been admitted with injuries sustained while fleeing the fire. \u2013 TSCZ<\/p>\n

Below is the statement from the Minister Of Transport and Infrastructural development Cde Felix T Mhona on the same accident\u2026<\/p>\n

[Our department TSCZ in conjuction with the Zimbabwe Republic Police are investigating the accident.]<\/p>\n

Ndinoti kunyangwe tikarasikirwa ne hupenyu hwemunhu mumwe chete zvinongotirwadza nekuti hupenyu hwakatikoshera. [It\u2019s painful to lose even one person because life is precious.]<\/p>\n

Ndaikumbira parizvino timirire kuzonyatsonzwa zvaitika nenzira iripamutemo. Ndoshuvira kupodzwa marwadzo kwe avo vakuvara nekunyaradzwa kwevose vane hama dzingadai dzatisiya patsaona iyi. [Let\u2019s wait for official communication on the accident. My condolences to the bereaved families.]<\/p>\n
