The Guangxi Emergency Management Department said in a statement:<\/p>\n<p>A Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 133 people from China Eastern Airlines crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi, and caused a mountain fire.<\/p>\n<p>At present, rescue teams have assembled and approached, and the casualties are unknown.<\/p>\n<p>A video shared online showed white smoke billowing from between trees.<\/p>\n<p>Images shared on Twitter claimed to be of large pieces of the plane\u2019s fuselage discovered in the area by locals.<\/p>\n<p>The Aviation Safety Network tweeted:<\/p>\n<p>We are following multiple unconfirmed reports about a possible accident involving China Eastern Airlines flight #MU5735 a Boeing 737-89P (B-1791) en route from Kunming to Guanghzou, China.<\/p>\n<p>Flight data claimed to be from the flight shows the plane dropped from 24 000 to the ground in just minutes, giving the crew little time to react to whatever the issue was.<\/p>\n<p>The country\u2019s last major plane accident was in August 2010, when a flight from Harbin crashed in north-east Yichun during foggy weather, killing 42 people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\">Zimbabwe<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe.
