Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>National Peace and Reconciliation Commission (NPRC) spokesperson, Commissioner Obert Gutu, has predicted that the by-elections will be won by the \u201cresilient, tried and tested\u201d revolution but did not specify who the \u2018revolution\u2019 is.<\/p>\n

The ruling ZANU PF calls itself a revolutionary party.<\/p>\n

Gutu, a former Deputy Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs has since his departure from the MDC-T, where he was the party\u2019s spokesperson, been making remarks that prompted observers to say he is a ZANU PF sympathiser.<\/p>\n

He denies ever joining the ruling party. In two Twitter messages, seen by Pindula News, Gutu reiterated that the \u201crevolution\u201d shall win the by-elections slated for 26 March (tomorrow). He said:<\/p>\n

After March 26, 2022, the REVOLUTION will, once again, be vindicated. The results will simply endorse the supremacy of the REVOLUTION. The REVOLUTION is resilient, tried & tested.<\/p>\n

Post-March 26, 2022, some broken hearts will never heal. Electoral courts will be enundated with election petitions, most of them frivolous & vexatious. Men will be distinguished from boys & women will be distinguished from girls. We will know the REAL REVOLUTION.<\/p>\n

His remarks come as the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) is already reporting anomalies in the electoral process that could result in the election not being free and fair.<\/p>\n

CCC cites issues to do with the voters\u2019 roll, polling stations and ballot papers. It says it has written to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission highlighting the issues. It also said its lawyers are seized with the matters.<\/p>\n
