Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Chris Rock is ignoring Jada Pinkett Smith\u2019s plea for him to reconcile with Will Smith.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTop 5\u201d star was slapped by the \u201cKing Richard\u201d actor on stage at the 2022 Oscars after he made a joke about the \u201cRed Table Talk\u201d host\u2019s shaved head.<\/p>\n

And though the \u201cGirls Trip\u201d actress recently made a public call for them to put their differences behind them, Rock is reportedly \u201cnot concerned\u201d about the drama with the couple at the moment and is focused on his own career.<\/p>\n

A source told \u201cEntertainment Tonight\u201d that Chris is the \u201cmost genuine person ever\u201d and he is \u201cnot caught up in the Hollywood scene\u201d.<\/p>\n

They added:<\/p>\n

He\u2019s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment. He\u2019s touring and he\u2019s preparing for a comedy special.<\/p>\n

Last week, the talk show host admitted she hoped Will and Chris would \u201ctalk out\u201d the situation and ultimately \u201creconcile\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the latest episode of \u201cRed Table Talk\u201d, she said:<\/p>\n

Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile.<\/p>\n

The state of the world today, we need them both, and we all actually need one another more than ever.<\/p>\n

Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that\u2019s keep figuring out this thing called life together.<\/p>\n

Jada suffers from alopecia \u2013 a condition that causes hair loss \u2013 and the actress revealed that \u201cthousands\u201d of people have contacted her since the Oscars ceremony when Chris made a joke about her appearance.<\/p>\n

Will, who has been married to Jada since 1997, previously described his behaviour at the Oscars as \u201cshocking, painful, and inexcusable\u201d.<\/p>\n

As a result of his actions, the \u201cMen in Black\u201d actor resigned from the Academy after issuing an apology.<\/p>\n

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also announced the actor would be banned from attending any of their events, virtually and in person, for 10 years.<\/p>\n
