Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>ZANU PF youths Monday said they wished the late Alex Magaisa, a former adviser to the late former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, had lived to see the development being brought by the administration led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n

Magaisa, who died Sunday after suffering a cardiac arrest, was a huge critic of the government which he often said was corrupt and had failed Zimbabweans.<\/p>\n

The Zimbabwean academic who was based in the United Kingdom is being mourned across the political divide.<\/p>\n

Former ZANU PF acting youth league deputy secretary, Tendai Chirau, party director of information, Tafadzwa Mugwadi and newly elected provincial member, Taurai Kandishaya, took to Twitter and Facebook, describing the late Magaisa as \u2018toxic\u2019. Chirau said:<\/p>\n

He was not my favorite blogger, because I did not agree with his views, which I believe are subjective and meant to advance an agenda that does not build a nation.<\/p>\n

The negativity he churned out was too toxic.<\/p>\n

Be that as it may, I am saddened by his death, I wanted him to live longer so that he would see more development which is being brought by the new dispensation.<\/p>\n

After chaos erupted in the MDC-T, Magaisa took a back seat and reverted to his trade in law.<\/p>\n

He later joined the University of Kent, where he taught law.<\/p>\n

Kandishaya who is known for threatening to forcibly take over a goat project belonging to journalist Hopewell Chin\u2019ono said:<\/p>\n

He concentrated his efforts on criticising ZANU PF, instead of regular medical checkups. Check your health first before criticizing ZANU PF.<\/p>\n

Mugwadi said Magaisa was a puppet. He said:<\/p>\n

His tweets and pro-Uncle-Tom approach to national discourse stunk like all puppets.<\/p>\n

He was intolerant to contrary views and leaves a legacy of blocking those who disagreed with his MDC-CCC ideas.<\/p>\n

However, despite all that, we mourn a brother and Zimbabwean. Sorry!<\/p>\n

Magaisa\u2019s family says the late lawyer will be buried in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n
