Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Comedian-cum-musician, Freddy Manjalima, better known as Kapfupi, has scoffed at his critics who claim he is now a spent force.<\/p>\n

Kapfupi says he working on a new album that will be released \u201cany time from now\u201d. He said:<\/p>\n

I have heard people saying that I am now a spent force and that I am now focusing more on my acting career.<\/p>\n

The truth is that I still take music as seriously as I take acting. The new album will do the talking.<\/p>\n

We are currently doing the videos and after that, we are good to go.<\/p>\n

We want to release the album and the videos for the songs at the same time.<\/p>\n

The Epworth-based musician rose to fame with such hits as \u201cMukadzi waSabhuku\u201d and \u201cMai Nga\u201d, both released in 2010.<\/p>\n

He said his association with fellow actor and comedian, Charles \u201cMarabha\u201d Mirisi \u201cended a long time ago\u201d and there is no possibility of reunification. He said:<\/p>\n

I urge our fans to concentrate on this new product and to ignore false reports.<\/p>\n
