Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>ZANU PF director for information Tafadzwa Mugwadi has challenged CCC leaders to be accountable to the party\u2019s supporters and desist from scapegoating the ruling party for their misdeeds.<\/p>\n

Mugwadi said this in response to claims by Juma Ulete, the leader of a GoFundMe initiative that was launched to raise US$120 000 to buy an armoured vehicle for CCC leader Nelson Chamisa.<\/p>\n

Ulete told NewsDay that ZANU PF had complained to GoFundMe in California that Chamisa was organising funds politically to purchase an armoured vehicle resulting in a delay in the release of the funds.<\/p>\n

Ulete claimed they were supposed to receive the funds in December 2021 after they had reached the target but \u201cZANU PF was bombarding the campaign saying why are these people politically fundraising?\u201d<\/p>\n

Mugwadi has dismissed the allegations, saying CCC, formerly MDC Alliance, is allergic to accountability and transparency. Said Mugwadi:<\/p>\n

In 2018, Chamisa who was leading the then MDC Alliance ahead of the elections swindled his supporters through another GoFundMe initiative, where millions were embezzled and never reached their election agents for whom that GoFundMe initiative had been taken.<\/p>\n

It is in their DNA, and they are always using the excuse of being in opposition to dodge accountability and transparency.<\/p>\n

One wonders what kind of an alternative they are when they steal in broad daylight from their supporters.<\/p>\n

When asked to account, they point fingers at ZANU PF as if they share bank accounts with ZANU PF.<\/p>\n

Now, if they can be easily possessed by stealing demons and reach orgasm at the sight of US$120 000, you can imagine when they are in charge of the national cash box.<\/p>\n
