Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of power utility ZESA Holdings, says there will be increased load shedding countrywide from 12 to 16 September 2022.<\/p>\n

In a public notice, ZETDC said the increased power cuts have been caused by depressed generation and increased demand.<\/p>\n

ZETDC said its engineers are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of service. It said:<\/p>\n

Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company would like to advise its valued customers countrywide that there will be increased load curtailment from the 12th to the 16th of September 2022.<\/p>\n

This is due to depressed generation on the grid coupled with increased electricity demand as a result of increased economic activities.<\/p>\n

Our Engineers are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of service.<\/p>\n

Customers are advised to use electricity sparingly and to always switch off electrical appliances when not in use.<\/p>\n

Since Monday, electricity consumers in most parts of the country have to endure long hours, at times up to 16 hours, without electricity.<\/p>\n
