{"id":79543,"date":"2023-06-24T22:24:17","date_gmt":"2023-06-24T20:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/former-soccer-star-masimba-dinyero-stripped-naked-by-armed-robbers"},"modified":"2023-06-25T01:35:05","modified_gmt":"2023-06-24T23:35:05","slug":"former-soccer-star-masimba-dinyero-stripped-naked-by-armed-robbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/former-soccer-star-masimba-dinyero-stripped-naked-by-armed-robbers","title":{"rendered":"Former Soccer Star Masimba Dinyero Stripped Naked By Armed Robbers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Former Soccer Star of the Year Masimba Dinyero was blindfolded and stripped naked on Wednesday night by armed robbers.<\/p>\n<p>The 58-year-old former Dynamos midfielder lost some money and his mobile phones during the mugging.<\/p>\n<p>Affectionately known as the Member In Charge, Dinyero was crowned Soccer Star of the Year in 1989.<\/p>\n<p>Dinyero told H-Metro that he was among several people who fell victim to five armed robbers who were aboard a kombi, pretending to be passengers.<\/p>\n<p>The former footballer and his fellow victims boarded the kombi in the Harare Central Business District and they were travelling to Domboshava.<\/p>\n<p>He said they were driven to Greendale, where they were blindfolded, and had their hands and legs tied. Said Dinyero:<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 7.40 PM on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>I boarded a kombi that was going to Domboshava and, to our surprise, it took a quick off-route turn and exited the CBD from Robert Mugabe Road.<\/p>\n<p>We were blindfolded and had our hands and legs tied.<\/p>\n<p>We were stripped naked and all our belongings were taken.<\/p>\n<p>I lost my money.
