Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Police in Masvingo have expressed concern over the rapid increase in the use of sex-enhancing drugs (aphrodisiacs) mostly by men in the district.<\/p>\n

Speaking at Masvingo Family Fest, an event that was held at Masvingo Sports Club cricket ground this month, Masvingo Central Detective Inspector Hazvinei Jindu the use of aphrodisiacs by men has become a drug abuse issue. TellZim News quoted Jindu as saying:<\/p>\n

During research we conducted, we found out that there has been a rapid increase in men and boys using sex-enhancing drugs.<\/p>\n

The reasons are that women are said to be complaining of being sex-starved and not being satisfied.<\/p>\n

This forces men to seek advice from peers who then advise them to use the drugs.<\/p>\n

She said during raids, the police recovered sex-enhancing drugs such as \u201cCongo Dust\u201d, \u201cAK-47\u201d, manhood enlarging gel and \u201ccobra 120\u201d.<\/p>\n

She warned that the continued use of \u201cCongo dust\u201d was deadly and that continuous use may result in one failing to have an erection without it. Said Jindu:<\/p>\n

Congo dust is said to be deadly, as it affects sperm production and sperm quality and this results in infertility and giving birth to children with special needs like Down syndrome and also results in men failing to perform sexual duties properly without using drugs.<\/p>\n

We urge men and boys to desist from using sex-enhancing drugs. Men are spending seven hours doing the act and this is causing cervical cancer in women.<\/p>\n

School children are also using sex-enhancing drugs which has resulted in them engaging in group sex, according to Jindu.<\/p>\n

She urged parents to desist from giving their children excess pocket money as they end up using the \u201cfree funds\u201d to host Vuzu parties.<\/p>\n
