Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>CCC\u2019s self-proclaimed interim secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu<\/b> has recalled 18 of the party\u2019s representatives in Parliament.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, 14 November, 13 CCC MPs were recalled from the National Assembly, while 5 of the party\u2019s senators were recalled from the Senate.<\/p>\n

Among those who have been recalled are CCC organising secretary, Amos Chibaya, who is also Chief Whip, and the party\u2019s deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba.<\/p>\n

Tshabangu said the representatives have ceased to be members of the CCC party.<\/p>\n

Amos Chibaya (Mkoba North)<\/p>\n

Emma Muzondiwa (Midlands PR)<\/p>\n

Machirairwa Mugidho (Masvingo PR)<\/p>\n

Constance Chihota (Mashonaland East PR)<\/p>\n

Monica Mukwada (Manicaland PR)<\/p>\n

Sekai Mungani (Midlands PR)<\/p>\n

Linnet Mazingaidzo (Harare PR)<\/p>\n

Dephine Gutsa (Mashonaland East PR)<\/p>\n

According to a letter written to National Assembly Speaker Jacob Mudenda by Tshabangu notifying that the above-mentioned officials have ceased to be members of the CCC party, Stephen Chatiza is listed as Goromonzi West MP.<\/p>\n

However, results announced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) show that Biatah Beatrice Karimatsenga Nyamupinga (ZANU PF) won the seat in the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n

In fact, according to ZEC, Chatiza was not a candidate for Goromonzi West National Assembly Constituency. The CCC candidate was Taurai Nhamburo who garnered 10 692 votes against Nyamupinga\u2019s 12 072.<\/p>\n
