Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), declared that he will not congratulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his victory in the August 2023 elections.<\/p>\n

This follows reports that ZANU PF insists that Chamisa should acknowledge Mnangagwa\u2019s victory and desist from making allegations of electoral fraud as a pre-condition for dialogue between the ruling party and CCC.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Chamisa posted a cryptic message on X, saying \u201cCowards deploy and abuse tortoises! This level of cruelty invites bad omen\u201d.<\/p>\n

The post emerged soon after High Court judge Justice Never Katiyo nullified the nomination of recalled CCC candidates for the 09 December 2023 by-elections.<\/p>\n

Justice Katiyo granted the party\u2019s self-declared interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu\u2019s application to bar recalled CCC candidates from participating in the upcoming by-elections.<\/p>\n

In response to Chamisa, one Cindy Shoko said: \u201cJust congratulate President ED Mnangagwa for winning the 2023 presidential election.\u201d<\/p>\n

This prompted Chamisa to declare that he won\u2019t congratulate Mnangagwa for his victory, saying: \u201cI don\u2019t celebrate crime. I don\u2019t congratulate fraud! I\u2019m not a pretender!\u201d He added:<\/p>\n

Stop sham elections-voting without choice.<\/p>\n

Stop voter suppression and manipulation.<\/p>\n

Stop abusing citizens in the villages.<\/p>\n

Stop weaponizing politics and the law.<\/p>\n

Stop abusing food as a political weapon in the countryside.<\/p>\n

Stop abuse of key national installations for partisan politics.<\/p>\n

Stop announcing false results.<\/p>\n

Stop spewing partisan propaganda and toxicity via ZBC.<\/p>\n

Stop partisan politics and reporting in state media.<\/p>\n

Stop denying diaspora voting.<\/p>\n

Stop politics of hate, lies and disinformation.<\/p>\n

Stop abuse of state resources to destroy and capture the alternative.<\/p>\n

Stop looting national resources.<\/p>\n

Stop destroying national institutions and undermining national security and national unity, national interest and national integrity!<\/p>\n

Stop being divisive and discriminating in national processes.<\/p>\n

Stop it!!<\/p>\n
