Africa-Press – Angola. More than 80 officers from the Provincial Command of the National Police of Benguela improved their knowledge in terms of performance and coverage of party political activities within the framework of the General Elections campaign of 24 August.
The provincial inspector, Mateus Carlos, said that the initiative is linked to the training dynamics of the corporation, which aims to provide the workforce with operational capacity, in order to guarantee security action in accordance with the law.
“It is common knowledge that, during electoral periods, deviant behavior can occur among members of political parties and others”, emphasized the inspector, pointing out that, in these situations, the police must be able to control tempers and maintain the public order and tranquility.
