UNITA leader invites voters to the polls

Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) appealed, in the city of Sumbe, province of Cuanza-Sul, to the militants, friends and sympathizers of the party to join the polls en masse, with a view to the general elections of 24 of August.

Adalberto Costa Júnior was speaking on Sunday, at the mass political act, as part of the pre-campaign. He reiterated that elections are the means enshrined in the Constitution for choosing those responsible who run the country over a period of time for the well-being of the populations. “Elections are an asset and an opportunity for the population to participate in choosing those who can govern. Therefore, active participation on August 24 this year can guarantee the alternation of power in Angola”, he underlined.

He defended that the country’s potential should be reflected in the lives of the people, through correct public policies, and underlined that it is the commitment of all who govern.
