Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) of Cunene started Monday, in Ondjiva, the training of provincial trainers who will instruct the members of the polling stations, as part of the preparation process for the general elections of 24 August.
During four days, participants will be trained on subjects related to management and voting, vote counting, organization and operation of polling stations, in addition to the handling of electoral material.According to the acting CPE president, Agrione Manuel, it is necessary to everyone’s responsibility in transmitting knowledge to the members who will work at the polling stations.
He added that training is the only way that makes it possible to understand each step taken during the voting process. Therefore, she said that the members of the polling stations have the responsibility to organize, direct, coordinate the work, from the opening, voting and counting.
During this training period, the handling of material from polling stations, phases of voter mobilization, formalities for filling in the minutes, rights and duties of electoral agents will also be analyzed.
