Africa-Press – Angola. The organization of the 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) said it was satisfied with the number of 24,000 visitors reached in just four days of the event.
The estimate is always to exceed, but the organization did not expect to reach this number of visitors, with only one day left for the closing of the event.
We still don’t have other invitations, which have been delivered”, confided a source from Eventos Arena, the organizer of FILDA, which is a promotion of the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
On the penultimate day of the 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), taking place in the Exhibition Hall of the Luanda – Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), in Viana, a group of university students from the 3rd year of the computer engineering course visited the fair with the aim of delivering their CVs to companies linked to the field of technologies.
The press team had the opportunity to talk to Márcia Vicente, 23 years old, who considered the event an ideal place to deliver a curriculum, as it has internationally recognized companies.
“This event has also served to search for a partner and search for the first job of many young people”, he assumed.
Núria David, 26, got the job at FILDA, through a cousin, who advised her to send her CV to a company linked to the chemical products sector.
The young woman said that she received three days of training, which allowed her to be aware of the product that the company is representing at Filda.
“I never worked. I just studied”, said Núria David, with a smile on her face.
Núria David pointed out that it was not the job he was expecting, but stressed that it is possible to cover some personal expenses.
José Manuel, 25, explained that he no longer expected to be called to work at FILDA. He delivered his resume in 2021 to the Human Resources of the company Eventos Arena and a month before the largest business exchange in the country took place, he received a phone call saying that his application had been approved.
The young man who does not study due to lack of financial conditions said that he did not even remember, because some time had passed.
José Manuel is a FILDA inventory and stressed that he was pleased to have gotten his first job on his own merits. He also explained that the inventory work is not for those who do not have patience, stressing that it is very responsible and serious.
“I’m happy. Thank God, I made it”, he exulted.
Gilberto Albino, 21, a university student in the computer engineering course, said he was hired only to work until the end of the country’s biggest business grant, Feira Internacional de Luanda (FILDA). The university student said he was happy for the opportunity even for a short time, stressing “what counts is the acquired experience”.
