Africa-Press – Angola. An Angolan delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, arrived this Friday morning in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, to participate in the Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).

This Council of Ministers aims to prepare the XXI Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), scheduled for the 25th of July, in Kinshasa.

The meeting begins this morning with a speech by the president of the ECCAS Commission, Gilberto Veríssimo, and the opening speech by the Minister of Regional Integration and Francophonie of the DRC, in his capacity as acting president of the Council of Ministers, Didier Mazenga.

The event will also analyze the report on the activities of the ECCAS Commission during the first half of 2022, the political and security situation in the region, in addition to the report on the activities of the Inter-State Committee of Experts and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the Commission. of ECCAS.

Today’s session also includes, among others, the analysis and adoption of draft Decisions concerning the particular status of the personnel of the Multinational Force of Central Africa (FOMAC), as well as their organization and functioning.
