Sebastião Silva said that the initiative, created within the framework of the community support program, called “Viver com Saúde”, is a way of encouraging and rewarding all youth actions aimed at the well-being of the community.
Achau, he said, will also provide young people, in a phased manner, with technical means to help them in cleaning the streets, as well as material for social education for the residents of Rangel, within the framework of the project “My floor is clean, Minha Rua There’s Beauty”.
Without mentioning the value of the prize to be awarded to the winners, Sebastião Silva said that Achau, in addition to distinguishing youth creativity in the social sector, will also pay more attention to Rangel’s areas of health, education, culture and sport.
On the sidelines of the ceremony to launch the program “Viver com Saúde”, the NGO also delivered sports equipment to 40 teams that participated in the Gira Mbandi tournament.
The NGO, created 24 years ago, has been developing community projects, some of which are linked to improving the functioning of drainage ditches, the construction and maintenance of youth parks, arts and culture centers and the promotion of youth entrepreneurship.
In two decades, he said, the NGO, in partnership with the Obrabella Foundation, built and rehabilitated the courtyard of the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Church, more than ten community gyms, an arts and culture center, a Medium Technical Institute and a Multimedia Center for Fraternization and Culture of the Pauline Sisters.
