Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Italy, Maria de Fátima Jardim, paid tribute today to Queen Elizabeth II, signing the book of condolences at the official residence of the United Kingdom’s ambassador in Rome, Edward Llewellyn.
“Elizabeth II was undoubtedly a noble and sensitive woman and the most charismatic leader of this era, who knew how to love her people, dignify them and give the world an example that generations must build with the people and for the people, alliances, for their well-being and progress”, wrote the Angolan diplomat.
“Sentiments of condolence were also presented to the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Italy, Edward Llewellyn, on behalf of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, the government of Angola, the Angolan people, diplomats and the Angolan community in Italy”, highlights the note sent.
Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 in Balmoral, Scotland, on 8 September, a victim of illness.
