Africa-Press – Angola. French President Emmanuel Macron expressed, this Tuesday, his desire to visit Angola in early 2023.
This desire was expressed in a statement by the Élysée Palace, in which the French Head of State also congratulated the Angolan President, João Lourenço, on his victory in the General Elections on 24 August.
The French President also “expressed his willingness to work on deepening relations between France and Angola, particularly in the field of agriculture”, said the French presidency.
He also welcomed the diplomatic efforts made by Angola, through the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (CIRGL), for peace and stability in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo [DRCongo] and in the Great Lakes region”.
“It also reiterated its support for Angola’s commitment to the peace process in the Central African Republic and to the implementation of the Luanda roadmap”, added the statement quoted today by Lusa.
