President of the Republic decrees time tolerance on 15 September

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, yesterday decreed a grace period for September 15, throughout the national territory, on the day the Investiture ceremony will take place.

According to the Presidential Decree, the time allowance does not apply to workers who work in shifts.

Here is the Presidential Decree in full:

The Angolan people exercised with civility and patriotism, in the General Elections of 24 August of the current year, their constitutionally enshrined right to vote;

Considering that under the terms of article 114 of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola, the President-elect must take office within 15 days after the official publication of the final electoral results;

Having been expressed throughout the country, by the different strata of our society, the will to commemorate this very unique act, which will take place on September 15, 2022;

The President of the Republic decrees, under the terms of paragraph d) of article 120 and paragraph 1 of article 125, both of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of article 5 of Law nº 10/11, of 16 February – Law on National and Local Holidays and National Celebration Dates, the following:

Article 1

Point tolerance is observed throughout the national territory, on September 15, 2022.

Article 2

The time tolerance decreed herein does not cover workers who work in shifts.
