Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, paid tribute, this Saturday morning, to the figure of the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, laying a wreath on the sarcophagus, at the Memorial of the also founder of the Nation, adjacent to Praça da República, in Luanda.
Then, the Head of State, João Lourenço, who was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, signed the message book.
Subsequently, the widow of António Agostinho Neto, Maria Eugénia Neto, among other members of the Executive, also laid a wreath.
If António Agostinho Neto were still alive today, September 17th, he would have been 100 years old.
