Africa-Press – Angola. The minister of Social Action, Family and Promotion of Women, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, urged, Monday (7), in Luanda, to all sectors and social partners to have greater engagement and commitment to ensure people in of vulnerability.

The official, who was speaking during the Second Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the National Council for Social Action (CNAS), referred to the need for governmental bodies and partners that intervene in the social field to articulate synergies for the protection and defense of children, based on the 11 Commitments.

To this end, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto appealed to all ministerial entities to reinforce projects and actions, in order to better support children’s rights and guarantee greater protection for the family, the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as minority communities and of the woman.

These actions will be increasingly followed by the CNAS, an organ of social consultation, of support to the Executive, through the monitoring, inspection and evaluation of public policies for the promotion and defense of groups that are perceived to be vulnerable.

The meeting aimed at evaluating and agreeing work for 2022-2027, holding a third plenary session in March, creating laws and projects to help and protect children and minority groups.

The CNAS meets the ordinary plenary every four months and has, in its composition, most of the auxiliary ministerial departments of the Holder of the Executive Power, with the exception of Foreign Affairs, Fisheries and Marine Resources, Trade and Industry, Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas , Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing Transport and the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

The composition of the CNAS also includes the Secretary for Social Affairs of the President of the Republic, the Economic and Social Advisory Board of the Vice-President of the Republic and the National Institutes for Children (INAC), the Fight Against Drugs, AIDS and Statistics, in addition to the Social Support Fund (FAS).
