Africa-Press – Angola. The attorney generals of Cape Verde and Angola are finalizing a bilateral cooperation agreement that should be signed in Luanda, in December, it was announced yesterday in the city of Praia.

In a note released by the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) of Cape Verde regarding the visit of the Attorney General of the Republic of Angola, Hélder Pitta Groz, to Praia, it is said that the two institutions “will strengthen cooperation ties in various domains of action”.

Cited in the note taken up by Lusa, the attorney general of the Republic of Cape Verde, Luís Landim, said that the two institutions have already “developed various cooperation actions based on international conventions”, as instruments of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries ( CPLP) and the organization of Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP), “justifying, therefore, a bilateral cooperation agreement”.

The Attorney General of the Republic of Angola, Hélder Pitta Gróz, “expressed his availability for the agreement to be concluded in Luanda”, on the occasion of the 19th Meeting of the Attorneys General of the Republic of the CPLP, on the 1st and 2nd of December.

Hélder Pitta Gróz leads a mission from the Angolan PGR that is on a working visit to Cape Verde, “with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens of both States”, according to the attorney general of the Cape Verdean Republic.

In Praia, the Angolan delegation has already held courtesy meetings with heads of justice administration bodies, such as the Supreme Court of Justice, the Ministry of Justice and the Superior Council of the Judiciary.
