Africa-Press – Angola. Several players in the oil sector in the world will be able to learn about the opportunities that Angola offers, during the third edition of the “Angola Oil & Gas” forum, an event that takes place from November 29 to December 1, in the city of Luanda.
According to the director of international conferences at Energy Capital & Power, organizer of the event, Miguel Artacho, who was speaking to the press yesterday in Luanda, in comparison with other oil producing countries on the continent, Angola has advantages due to the business environment that features associated with transparency and stability.
The “Angola Oil & Gas (AOG)” conference and exhibition returns to its third edition, under the motto “Attractive and innovative oil and gas industry in Angola”, in an initiative organized by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas (MIREMPET) in partnership with the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), the IRDP and the African Chamber of Energy.
The event will feature more than 60 national and international guests, representing insurance companies and multinationals from countries such as Nigeria, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

For the president of the African Energy Chamber in Angola, Sérgio Publiese, more important than complying with the global energy transition strategy, it is important to safeguard the continent’s particular interests, without depending on the decisions of external forces.
“We are experiencing an existential crisis, with the energy transition, which started with the signing of Paris until now. But it is necessary to think that while the West is at the point of decarbonization, Africa is at the point of industrialization that must be financed, but, for ourselves and we cannot let foreign forces interfere,” he warned.
