Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, congratulated, this Monday, António Costa, for the “convincing victory obtained by the Socialist Party in the Legislative Elections” held this Sunday (30).
In the message, which Jornal de Angola had access to today, the Head of State expressed on behalf of the Angolan Executive and himself, his best wishes for many successes in the performance of his leadership functions of the Government of Portugal.
“The electoral results that give your party an absolute majority express the renewal of confidence that the Portuguese people place in Your Excellency and in the Socialist Party, to which a clear mandate is given, to lead Portugal in stability in the coming years and to pursue the policies that meet the great aspirations of your Nation and of the Portuguese.”
João Lourenço also expressed his interest in developing and intensifying the fruitful cooperation relations that the two peoples, countries and Governments maintain with each other.
