Africa-Press – Angola. The Angosat-2, in orbit, will boost the Oil and Gas sector in the country, with regard to telecommunications, considered, this Tuesday, in Luanda, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.
Mário Oliveira also stated that the country is in better conditions, through national staff belonging to the national special program, to provide the oil sector and beyond, “systems that allow the determination of oil spills, among other services”.
The minister, who was speaking at the Conference on Technologies and Innovation, organized by Mercury Serviços de Telecomunicações (MSTelcom) underlined that with Angosat-2 and the earth observation system, the Executive is in a position to provide the oil sector with what it considers needs of the oil market and beyond.
“The Angosat-2 is a very big investment that the country has developed. It is a component of the National Space Program that includes the ground observation system”, he recalled.
